Archery & Axe Throwing

Instructor-led archery and axe throwing at regulation-sized targets, a hands-on way to test your aim and learn a new skill
An Archery and Axe Throwing experience is a chance to test your accuracy. Trained instructors teach participants everything they need to know to become a capable marksman.
Archery is the art, sport, practice or skill of using a bow to shoot arrows. Historically it was used for hunting and combat; today it is mainly a competitive sport and recreational activity. The archery targets are industry-standard 60cm straw bosses mounted on 4ft easels, with archers shooting from a distance of 30ft or more.
Similar to darts, axe throwing is a sport in which the competitor throws an axe at a target, aiming for it to spin once and land as close as possible to the bullseye. Its roots go back many millennia, and it is associated with the 8th-century Vikings, though it has only recently been recognised as a sport, thanks to the World Axe Throwing League (WATL). The axe-throwing targets are built to WATL dimensions, standing 9ft tall and 4ft wide, and throwers aim from 12 to 15ft away, which makes keeping every axe on target a healthy challenge.
