> Guided walk across the exposed seabed to Seymour Tower, exploring rock pools, marine life and maritime history in Europe's largest intertidal rocky area.

Visitors walk on the seabed and explore gullies and rock pools on the way out to Seymour Tower, just a mile from the shore. Led by expert local guides, the walk reveals Jersey's own wilderness in Europe's largest intertidal rocky area, a place that is not quite sea and not quite land, far from the noise and busyness of daily life.

The area offers peace and wide-open space, and is covered twice a day by some of the world's highest tides, reaching up to 40 feet. It is home to many marine and bird species and has a fascinating maritime history, and the guide shares its stories, marine life and history along the way.

The walks are sometimes called 'Moonwalks' because the rock formations and seabed look a bit like the moon's surface.

Wellington boots can be hired, and may be needed if the water reaches just below the knees. Private walks can also be arranged on other dates, depending on the tides.

Dates and times for Bioluminescence, Moonlight, Sea Foraging, Oyster Trails, Two Towers, Icho, Karame, GeoWalks and Private Walks are listed on the website. Booking is online.
