Noirmont Point
Le Chemin de Noirmont, St. Brelade, JE3 8JA

Perched on Jersey’s southern tip, Noirmont Point combines military heritage, coastal walks and sweeping views across St. Aubin’s Bay towards Elizabeth Castle and beyond. Noirmont is a strategic guardian of the island’s south coast, with the headland preserving more than two centuries of defensive history.
Discover Battery Lothringen, a WWII German naval complex built between 1941–44. The site features a multi-storey command tower, underground bunkers, searchlight emplacements and gun positions, maintained by the Channel Islands Occupation Society. Open days take place every Sunday, while the exterior is accessible daily.
At the base of the headland stands La Tour de Vinde, a Martello tower built between 1810–14 to defend against Napoleonic forces.
Beyond its history, Noirmont Point is a popular coastal walking destination. A 4-mile circuit leads from St Aubin’s Harbour past Belcroute Bay and beyond. Marked cliff paths continue west through gorse and heather towards the turquoise waters of Portelet, forming part of the Jersey Tidal Trail.
