Portelet Bay
St. Brelade, JE3 8PS

Getting to Portelet Bay is an adventure in itself. Those brave enough to take the steep descent down the steps from the cliff to this western beach can enjoy a bracing swim in the crystal clear water. Like St. Aubin’s Bay, Portelet faces south so you can bask in the sun’s rays throughout the day.
Sheltered by the surrounding cliffs, the bay enjoys a peaceful, secluded feel and is well protected from prevailing winds. At low tide, wander across the soft, golden sand to Île au Guerdain, the small tidal islet that sits at the heart of the bay. As the tide returns, the clear, calm waters provide the perfect opportunity to swim across and explore its rocky shoreline, where snorkellers can discover an abundance of marine life beneath the surface.
Public toilets are available for all visitors to use during café opening hours, making Portelet Bay Café a convenient stop for beachgoers, walkers, and families enjoying the bay
