Frankenstein – More Than a Monster
at 16 New Street Georgian House by National Trust for Jersey

A candlelit Halloween literary salon at 16 New Street, with readings from Mary Shelley's Frankenstein, gothic conversation and eerie refreshments from 5pm.
This Halloween, the literary salon takes a deliciously dark turn as it enters the strange and unsettling world of Mary Shelley's Frankenstein.
Monstrous or misunderstood? Victor Frankenstein's Creature has been called both, and much more. This Halloween evening explores one of literature's most enduring tales of ambition, isolation, creation and the nature of humanity.
Through atmospheric readings from Shelley's original text, Dr Setara Pracha and the Georgian House team bring the story to life around the Club Room table, in the candlelit surroundings of 16 New Street.
As darkness falls, the door creaks open at 5pm for an evening of gothic storytelling, literary conversation and suitably eerie refreshments.
