Jèrriais Section of the Jersey Eisteddfod 2027
at St. Ouen's Parish Hall

Free-to-attend poetry, songs and performances in Jersey's Norman language by pupils and adult learners, part of MILLENIUM 2027 – European Year of the Normans.
The Jèrriais Section of the Jersey Eisteddfod 2027 celebrates Jersey's own Norman language and forms part of MILLENIUM 2027 – European Year of the Normans. The festival showcases the performing arts through poetry, songs and performances, bringing together Jèrriais speakers and learners of all ages.
Taking place as part of the Jersey Eisteddfod, this section gives performers a platform to share their passion for Jèrriais in front of a live audience. The programme includes both school and adult categories, with primary and secondary pupils learning poems and songs over several weeks before presenting their performances and receiving certificates of participation.
The adult section is open to anyone learning Jèrriais, and participants can perform a set piece from the syllabus or a piece of their own choice. Admission is free for the public, making it a good opportunity to experience Jersey's living language tradition and see how Jèrriais continues to inspire creativity across generations.
