> A three-day international meeting of lectures and discussions exploring the shared Norman heritage of Normandy and the Channel Islands, part of Millenium – 2027.

As part of Millenium – 2027, European Year of the Normans, the Société Jersiaise and the Maison de la Normandie et de la Manche are organising an international meeting in Jersey bringing together learned societies, historical and archaeological associations from both sides of the Channel.

Founded in 1873, the Société Jersiaise has a long tradition of researching and promoting the Norman heritage of the Channel Islands. The event is an opportunity to explore the shared history and cultural connections between Normandy and the Channel Islands, and to highlight the essential contribution made by learned societies to the preservation and dissemination of this common heritage.

Over three days, participants and visitors can attend lectures, presentations and round-table discussions addressing themes such as the history of learned societies, their role in advancing knowledge of the Norman world and the challenges of preserving and communicating heritage in the twenty-first century.
