Pop Up Exhibition: Bourne, Warner and Finn

at ArtHouse Jersey Studios at Grève de Lecq Barracks

Pop Up Exhibition: Bourne, Warner and Finn

Three artists show work on nature, Jersey's hedgerows and fields, and ideas of place and belonging, from pastel drawings to poetry and sound.

Sophia Bourne is an interdisciplinary artist working across visual art, poetry, movement and sound. Francesca Warner studied social anthropology at BSc level before undertaking an art foundation year, specialising in ceramics. Christine Finn is an artist and writer whose practice spans both disciplines.

Sophia's work invites reflection and contemplation, drawing inspiration from the cycles and rhythms of the natural world, alongside her exploration of somatic practices.

Francesca shows plein air soft pastel drawings inspired by Jersey's hedgerows and fields. Through intimate studies of plants at different stages of growth and in changing light, she invites visitors to see the natural world anew and consider the connections between stars, plants, trees and insects.

Christine's work is informed by the investigative practices of print and broadcast journalism. Her art and writing explore themes of place and belonging, often drawing inspiration from the experience of making and remaking a home in different locations.
