Playing with Light
at Jersey Museum by Jersey Heritage

A hands-on exhibition for all ages exploring light, from magic lanterns and a camera obscura to Jersey's early photographers and the Corbière lighthouse.
Filled with hands-on activity for all ages, Playing with Light explores how light has been used to tell the time, light homes, safely guide shipping and entertain – from magic lanterns to stereoscopes.
Visitors can step inside a camera obscura and discover the work of Jersey's early photographers, who used light to capture the beauty of the Island.
Using objects from the organisers' scientific collection, such as shipping lamps and microscopes, alongside specially commissioned interactive exhibits, visitors can experiment with the properties of light and how people capture it for their use.
